| North Forty Course Description
Call (269) 919-9003 or email Scott@N40.comcastbiz.net to set up a tee time.
Hole 1 from the back tees measures 254 yards. An opening “risk/reward” hole. Landing in the fairway is a must and an iron off the tee will leave you with the best result to attack the flag on this elevated and undulating green protected by a deep green-side bunker.
Hole 2 from the back tee measures 351 yards. A spectacular dogleg right starting with elevated tees, water right and out of bounds to the left. Position yourself in the left side of the fairway off the tee to improve your angle into the green with water long and a bunker on the left.

Hole 3 from the back tee measures 283 yards. Sharp dogleg left with the green protected by a pond in front and large trees. 2 fairway bunkers at the end of the fairway are 209 yards from the back tee which define the landing area. This will leave you a short iron shot to the kidney shaped green.

Hole 4 - Par 3 with elevated tees measuring 137, 121 and 101 yards in length. The wind often swirls over this short hole and natural hazards guard the postage stamp green.

Hole 5 from the back tee measures 274 yards. This uphill par 4 has a 40 foot elevation change. 200 to 220 yards off the tee will find a large landing area leaving you a good look at the elevated green. Leave 2nd shot short of hole, back of green drops off 40 feet.

Hole 6 from the back tee measures 339 yards. Slight dogleg right
with the green tucked back into a heavily wooded area with 3 large oak trees protecting the backside of this green.

Hole 7 from the back tee measures 389 yards. Perhaps the most demanding test of accuracy awaits you on this par 4 with water and bunkers coming into play down the right side. 2nd shot will play uphill and generally into the prevailing wind to a green protected on all sides by grass and sand bunkers. Par is always good on this hole.

Hole 8 from the back tees measures 395 yards. Sharp dogleg to the right will entice the big hitters to take a rip at the green but out of bounds, sand and grass bunkers will catch any errant shot. Two directional bunkers straight away are 237 yards away from back tees framing the landing area. Favor the right side of the green on the second shot as everything moves left on this green.

Hole 9 - Par 3 measuring 189, 155 and 135 yards in length. Our longest par 3, this hole is a wonderful test of your long iron game. Very challenging hole with a long narrow green protected by out of bound to the right and a bunker front left of green. Prevailing crosswind generally into the player here.
Hole 10 from the back tee measures 272 yards. Blind tee shot to a green that is 45 feet lower than the teeing area. A relatively easy hole if played smart, the flat landing area in middle of fairway is 158 yards from the back tee. Only trouble this hole are woods to the left and out of bounds to the right.

Hole 11 from the back tee measures 338 yards. Dogleg right plays slightly uphill, fade off the tee is the preferred shot. Good target off the tee are the large evergreens in the distance. Mid to short iron second shot to a slightly elevated small green.

Hole 12 - Par 3 measuring 145, 130 and 110 yards. Straightaway hole with only trouble being out of bounds to the right and small sand trap behind green.
Hole 13 - Par 3 measuring 162, 152 and 140 yards. Another beautiful elevation change provides spectacular views of 6 different holes from the teeing area. Very challenging par 3 due to elevation change and prevailing winds. Sand traps and out of bounds to the right to catch errant shots, small bail out area back left of this hole.

Hole 14 from the back tees measures 532 yards. Gradual sweeping dogleg right. Favoring the left side of the fairway will set up a choice between going for the green or laying up to approximately 80 yards. Solid 3 shot par 5, possible eagle hole for the big hitter.

Hole 15 - Par 3 measuring 167, 145 and 125 yards. Another elevation change awaits you on this challenging par 3. Picturesque hole with trees lining both sides of hole. Proper club selection requires thought regarding wind direction and pin location. The cherry tree on right side has been known to catch a mis-hit shot.

Hole 16 from the back tees measures 423 yards and is a short par 5 by today’s standards. Difficulty lies in the forced carry of 175 yards over the pond into a prevailing west wind. Dogleg left starts at 275 yards from back tee opening up 2nd shot to green tucked in the trees and protected by a front bunker. Easy 3 shot par 5, risk/reward 2 shot par 5 for the big hitters.

Hole 17 from the back tees measures 517 yards. Beautiful par 5 starting with a demanding straight tee shot out of narrow chute of trees. Landing area is large and forgiving but protected by a fairway grass bunker up the left side at 262 yards from the back tee. Fairway narrows near the green with small hills, valleys, grass bunkers and waste areas to protect the medium sized terraced green.

Hole 18 - Par 3 measuring 176, 125 and 84 yards. Our signature and award winning finishing hole. The back tee sits 50 feet above green level and stares at the huge clubhouse and wraparound deck. With the elevation change, prevailing west wind, forced carry over the front pond and gallery watching your shot from the clubhouse deck, this par 3 will test your body and mind.
